This tutorial leads you through the process of creating new metadata entries. You will use the template system, add thumbnails, upload data, link to services and set access privileges to the metadata and data.

- Creating a metadata using templates You will create a new metadata record based on an existing template.
- Editing a new metadata In this part of the tutorial you will describe a dataset by creating a new metadata record in the catalog using the online metadata editor.

- Linking data for download In this part you will upload a dataset stored on your local computer.
- Setting privileges Defining access privileges to the metadata and related services (download, interactive map).
