SDI Architecture diagram
This diagram is an attempt to put a number of the Geographic Free and Open Source Software (GeoFOSS) and some Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) software in relation to each other and in relation to the respective protocols and interfaces. Hopefully useful to understand what is needed when and where. It may also be useful to explain to others how different software can work together and what protocols are used to establish these links.
This is an updated version (v2) of the diagram and legend (July 2006)
